Sports and remedial massage treatment in Oxfordshire

Each appointment starts with a discussion of your symptoms, movement, training or work demands, and what you would like to achieve. Treatment pressure and techniques are adapted to your comfort and response, not taken from a one-size-fits-all routine.

Book a standalone massage or combine treatment with corrective exercise and lifestyle coaching when a broader plan would be useful.

Intelligent Bodywork for Modern Lives

Work, sport, stress and daily habits can all affect how your body feels. Treatment may include focused soft tissue techniques and practical advice to help you move more comfortably and manage your recovery.

Every treatment draws on my clinical experience as a soft tissue therapist, massage specialist, and CHEK practitioner — bringing both precision and intuition to each session.

Sports and remedial massage uses targeted soft tissue techniques to help manage discomfort, perceived tension and movement restrictions. I work with active people and everyday clients across Oxfordshire, including Oxford, Abingdon, Didcot and Wallingford. Treatment may complement exercise-based rehabilitation where appropriate.

Your first appointment includes a discussion of your symptoms, goals and relevant history before treatment. You can ask questions and agree on the approach before we begin.

Natural ingredients and aromatherapy for handmade massage waxes

Each treatment uses Bodywright’s handcrafted massage waxes, created from 100% natural ingredients — shea butter, cocoa butter, beeswax, and sweet almond oil — blended with pure essential oils such as peppermint, lavender, patchouli, orange, cypress, and sandalwood. These formulas enhance grip, glide, and skin nourishment while grounding the experience in natural scent and touch.

Research suggests massage may provide short-term benefits for soreness, pain and perceived recovery, although results vary and it is not a substitute for appropriate rehabilitation. Depending on your needs, treatment may help:

  • Reduce perceived muscle soreness after training
  • Complement an appropriate exercise or rehabilitation plan
  • Provide an opportunity to relax and ease perceived tension
  • Support relaxation and general wellbeing

At Bodywright, science meets intuition. Each treatment is adjusted to your body’s feedback on the day — deep where needed, subtle where necessary.

Integrated Recovery within the Bodywright Program

When combined with your Bodywright health plan, massage can complement your wider training and recovery plan. Regular check-ins help us discuss symptoms, activity and how you respond to treatment over time.

If you want ongoing support, ask about coaching packages that combine treatment, movement coaching and lifestyle guidance. We can discuss whether that approach suits your needs.

Standalone Sessions

Prefer a one-off treatment? No problem. Individual sports and remedial massage sessions are available for anyone seeking targeted relief or performance enhancement without a full coaching plan. Whether you are a martial artist, weightlifter or desk worker, the session is tailored to you.
