A personalised approach means choosing care around your goals, health history and preferences. It does not mean that everyone needs a package, multiple treatments or a long programme. Many clients book a massage appointment on its own; others want to explore movement or lifestyle support as well.
What may be included
Depending on what you are looking for, options may include sports or remedial massage, simple movement guidance, strength or mobility coaching, and discussion of relevant day-to-day habits. Sports and remedial massage is hands-on care intended to support comfort and movement; effects vary and are not guaranteed to last.
Acupuncture or dry needling may be discussed when appropriate and only with your informed consent. We will talk through the proposed approach, alternatives and relevant risks. You do not need to choose needling to receive massage or other support.
How the approach is chosen
We first discuss what is bothering you, what activities matter to you, what you have tried and any relevant health information. If coaching is appropriate, the next step may be a manageable exercise or movement plan rather than more hands-on treatment. See personal training and nutrition and lifestyle coaching for details of those services.
Review and adjust
If you choose more than one appointment, we can review whether the approach is helping you work towards your agreed goal and adjust it as needed. You can ask questions, decline an option or stop at any time. Ongoing symptoms may have more than one contributing factor; a massage or coaching session cannot diagnose an underlying medical condition.
Is a programme right for you?
If you simply want a massage, book the service you need. Broader support may be worth discussing if you want help planning exercise or managing a recurring limitation alongside treatment. For a simple overview of the difference, read how to choose between a massage appointment and broader support. You can also use the Start Here page to find the relevant next step.
